Almario Tuazon is a hernia patient who heard about the Operasyon Polymedic Damayan Foundation, through a neighbor who gave birth in VRP Medical Center. That information brought him to seek medical attention and get the surgery he has longed to have since 2021. With the financial aid granted by the Operasyon Polymedic Damayan Foundation (OPDF), Almario was finally free from his affliction.
According to Almario, he had a good experience staying in VRP. The admission was fast, as well as the service. He even said, “Nakikita ko laging pumapasok yung mga nurse at doctor, chinecheck-up ako, saka wala ako masabi mababait sila, they’re good,” reiterating why he has so much to thank for to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff, especially the program that helped him avail of an affordable surgery while being given the best care. Based on what he experienced and witnessed, Almario swore to tell people about the program so that many more may have the opportunity to be healed without spending too much. “Maganda ang OPDF, wala ako masabi talaga”, his mouth spoke once more what his heart wanted to say.
Operasyon Polymedic Damayan Foundation (Damayan) is VRP Medical Center’s vehicle in subsidizing medical services to indigent patients since 1992.
