Congratulations to Dr. Alan Koa, VRPMC Section Head of Histopathology and Clinical Chemistry for receiving the Dr. Liborio Gomez Memorial Lecturer Award by the Philippine Society of Pathologists.
The Liborio Gomez Memorial Award and Lecture is given for service in various capacities and involvement in the promotion and advancement of the science of Pathology in the fields of medical education, research and professionalism.
Dr. Koa follows three other VRPMC pathologists, Dr. Tomas P. Maramba, Dr. Juanito Billote, and Dr. Aileen Riego-Javier, who were also given this award.
Dr. Koa will deliver his lecture at the 69th PSP Annual Convention on April 23, 2021. April 18-24 is also Medical Laboratory Professionals Week.
