The Get Well Soon Cards delivered to the patient’s room with the breakfast trays is a contactless patient care initiative of VRPMC in the absence of the pre-COVID 19 room to room visits of a Customer Care Representative that bring warm welcome and greetings to the in-patients. To cheer up our COVID 19 patients and help boost their immune system with daily doses of encouragement and prayers, the Patient’s Meal Tray Get Well Soon Cards was launched in March 2020. An invitation was posted on social media, open to all to email their homemade card designs to VRPMC. Immediately after the invitation, hundreds of emails with Get Well Soon cards for COVID 19 patients flooded the inbox of VRPMC. This initiative has been institutionalized as a regular part of the patient’s meal tray, not only for COVID 19 patients but also extended to all patients admitted in the hospital. Patients have appreciated this extra-mile patient care that is true to the core values of Alagang VRP.
