VRPMC’s Medical Records Committee organized and hosted this year’s Data Privacy Act seminar entitled “Data Privacy in the Hospital Industry” with its resource speaker Atty. Ana Carmela Erika “Ace” C. Reblora from the National Privacy Commission. This educational event focused on educating VRPMC employees, medical staff, and residents about data privacy laws and regulations.
The seminar covered various topics,including the importance of protecting patients’ personal information, legal obligations and requirements for data handling and processing, and the impact of data breaches on individuals and the organization.
VRPMC President, Mrs. Virma P. Vergel de Dios preceded the seminar with her opening remarks, the event was also graced by Mrs. Rona Garcia, Administrator, Dr. Edgardo Penserga, Medical Director, Dr. Mariano Lopez, Deputy Medical Director.
