The Alzheimer’s Disease Association of the Philippines (ADAP) in cooperation with VRP Medical Center, headed by Dr. Lourdes Carolina Dumlao, conducted a family forum for understanding dementia, a module specially designed for carers of persons with dementia. The activity is in line with DOH calendar marking November as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. A special Dementia Workup promo package was also offered to the attendees of the event for their family members with dementia. November is known as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia that leads to memory, thinking, and behavior problems. Today, We have estimated 300 thousand number of dementia cases in the Philippines.
