At VRP Medical Center, Safety is a Priority, Right at Point of Entry
VRP Medical Center is one of the first hospitals in Metro Manila to have instituted screening protocols and processes for COVID 19. As early as February 2020, aside from strictly imposing the wearing of mask and temperature check for patients entering the hospital, a Health Declaration Form (HDF) is required to be filled up by every patient, doctor, employee and visitor.
To regulate the build-up of traffic at the entry point with the implementation of the new process, half of the driveway between the main entrance and ER Annex was converted into a screening area with portable air conditioner, HDF writing desks, and an adjacent waiting area for patients with symptoms being referred to the ER annex. The facility is manned by trained nurses in their full protective suits from head to toe and assisted by security guards on duty.
The screening area anteroom does not only provide order and comfort to our stakeholders, but it has also increased safety, security and control with stricter implementation of entry and exit guidelines.
Seven months later, VRP Medical Center remains committed to continuously upgrade the facilities for everyone’s safety. It has adopted contactless temperature scanner, online HDF, and a screening reception with acrylic barrier, to meet the dynamic needs of its stakeholders during this time of pandemic.
