VRP Medical Center received the prestigious DOH Star Awards 2023 during the awarding ceremony at Iloilo Convention Center, Megaworld Blvd., Mandurriao, Iloilo City, Iloilo, held in November 13, 2023.
Under the theme, “Breaking the Barriers of Mediocrity – In Pursuit of Healthcare Innovation towards a Healthy Pilipinas,” this year’s award ceremony acknowledged institutions that exemplified excellence in medical care and innovations.
The DOH Star Award is highly regarded in the healthcare industry, recognizing institutions that demonstrate excellence in medical care and innovation.
Out of over 160 nominees, VRP Medical Center was one of the 15 selected hospitals for Level 3 hospitals based on five categories namely:
- Safety and Infection Control
- Service Provision
- Customer and Employees Satisfaction
- Community-based Activities
- Quality Improvements
Receiving the award for VRP Medical Center are: Dr. Edgardo Penserga, Medical Director, together with key-persons in the organization, Ms. Edna Macaraig, HRD Head, Ms. Rosalie Operana, Marketing Head, Ms. Mona Clare Rellamas-Racelis, and Ms. Julie May Suganob-Dancel, Infection Prevention and Control Nurses.
